Me and the family got together this past week for a camping trip at Wilderness State Park in Upper Michigan. Wilderness is where we spent most of our family vacations growing up, so being there brought back hundreds of memories from the past. It was a lot of fun, and I especially loved including Eric in some of those old memories as well.
We carried on quite a few family traditions this trip, some of which include:
1. Buying screen-printed shirts at Mackinaw City (a little hoodie for baby Caleb).
2. Riding bikes to Wilderness Park General Store for fresh, homemade donuts in the morning.
3. Swimming in ice cold Lake Michigan water when no one else would put a toe in (We had to dare each other to stay under for 5 seconds, it was brutal, but fun).
4. Nights spent talking around the campfire.
5. Hours and hours of Setback.
As always, it was a great vacation with my family.
